If an electric stove does not turn on, first check if the appliance is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means another part of the stove will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.
A burner or stove without produce heat won’t do much good. An oven doesn’t heat when there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner won’t heat if an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We know how to fix these problems in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.
You can assume the control panel on an oven is broken if the program or timer functions don’t work. If that is the case, we are able to replace control boards for LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on control boards and the parts we use for this stove repair service.
You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians are able to find the location of the issue and repair it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.
A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter glows but won’t light. The cause is sometimes from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we have to replace the part.
Newer self-cleaning ovens sometimes have door issues often. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to identify why the door doesn’t open and then complete the necessary repair so we can resolve the problem.
